FS: 96 Honda Hornet 250

As per the title, I have a Hornet for sale. It is in average condition, so I have priced accordingly. Specs are as follows;

The Goodish:

250cc for the learner class
6 speed
Honda reliability (I haven't had any issues at all)
Nice benign handling, ideal for a learner
Blue (grey/black rear section)
Just over 39,000Kms
Serviced at Cyclespot at approx 35,000Kms (Carbs sync'd)
Oil and filter change at 37,500Kms
New battery
New rear brake pads
Headstock bearing adjusted at 37,000Kms
Chain always lubed
Pirelli Diablos front and rear (rear will need replacement next WOF)

The Not So Goodish:

No factory dash (only a speedometer and odometer, WOF Km's look consistent so odometer is pretty spot on)
Not the best on cold starts (have to give a little throttle)
Bog poorly painted on fuel tank

At a dealer you'd look to pay $6K plus for one so I think that my price is pretty competitive at $3.5K ono.

Without pictures you probably wont get much interest - take lots of the bad areas. Be honest with it and post up large pictures, or all you're going to do is piss people off when they turn up to view/buy.

they are an awesome handling bike because of the 180 wide rear tyre and 120 wide front i love the hornets, would be keen if i had the dosh, and a license lol.

Oh EJ! You're a legend. I know the scorpio was redlining at 80 in any gear but in this case it's the speed not the revs.

perhaps you should buy this beauty as a replacement?

Yeah, it's mentioned in the ad that it's not a factory dash. Ummm, that is not a red-line for revs but for what I imagine is safe speed..........

Let me know if you know anyone who is keen to view and buy it.

Well thats why mine is a "boy" bike ... he doesn't like it when he hasn't been ridden in a while (like...every day)
