They are model engines.
You can buy them at your local model shop if you have the dosh. These days they are electric start and computer controlled.
They drink fuel like it's going out of fashion though because even with a mainshaft speed of around 150,000 rpm, the compression ratio is only about 2.5 to 1. Make great garage heaters but - put out over 100 kW of heat
The last I heard of the guy in the video clip, he was working on a way to land that rig on a runway like a conventional aircraft.

sure his balls are big, but are they big enough to use as a landing tripod?
