New KBC helmet in town (Palmy North)

Mrs Yod has a KBC Force-RR and I've always been impressed with its fit and light weight. This led me to noseying around ebay at other KBCs. I know this particular flavour is possibly not everybody's cup o' tea but there is a huge range and you can land this one for about $220NZ.

anyway this arvo I spotted them in Phil Turnbulls for $299 (which is a pretty reasonable markup i reckon) and discovered they are in fact, fibreglass, not plastic and are very light and comfortable; the only fibreglass model they do as far as PTs could tell me - impressive.

edit: oops, the model is the VR-1X

HJC has one (but its made of carbon fibre),a little higher priced than that, but look on Fleabay and they are almost the same price as the KBC ,imo the HJC is a better fit in this case ,and they look great

Had a KBC VR 2 series which was made of fibre glass, light weight and stood up when I crashed. Only problem was the notch on the visor kept breaking off. Sent it back to the factory apparently some screws were too tight. Got it fixed. Good helmets though.
