    KBers at Raggamuffin?

Any other KBers take in the Raggamuffin Reggae Fest?
Hope so, cause it was a bloody good (and hot) day of some of the best Reggae NZ will ever get a chance to hear.
    Go next year people.
House of Shem from Manawatu put on a crisp clean set, followed by Akld band The Midnights, Katchafire livelyed up the crowd and The Blackseeds keep the juices flowing.
By early arvo, the international acts started to hit the stage, with Arrested Developement holding a mix of reggae, hip hop, and audience participation.
Maxxi Priest sworned the ladies in da house with a strong, sweet vocal performance, and a surprise quest appearance of his son.
The Wailers got the grassroots followers into a frenzy with pure Ramacian reggae, and UB40 brought the house down with one of the most deep clean sounding mix I've ever heard. The highlight was having UB40, Maxxi Priest and the Wailers on stage together doing "I Shot the Sheriff" together.
    Wicked day.

Okay, from the lack of responses I'm picking Kiwi M/Cyclists are still into Tom Jones and the Back Street Boys.
    That explains the riding behaviour.

    Na
most of us cool dudes that enjoy that type of music
are based in the south island
too many good roads down here to ride as an option to listening to live music.
so we just fill out I-Pods with it and hit the road!

Yup, that voice will be hard to replicate.
Although the dude doing vocals for the Wailers sounds uncannily like Bob.
Pretty certain it wasn't Ziggy, and the band could of backed him better(seemed to just go through the motions).
Maxxi Priests off spring will be a force to follow in the future.

There is no polite way to put this.

The vast majority of bikers I know would not listen to reggae.. and quite a few of the ones I know would probably thump anyone who tried to make them listen to some.

You might have more luck at the iwi/whanau/drugsmokers/criminal forums.

Then we move in much separated circle's. Most riders i know enjoy the beat and relaxed tones of reggae.
If you think it's all about dope and drop outs then I can retort by saying Thrash Metal is all about violence and agony. You surprise me with your red neck approach to music. I wish you all the best in life's education.
And your comment about thumping people over musical beats reaffirms way Raggamuffin had such a clean slate with the coppers, while drunks at Hamilton "night clubs" cause them much grief.
    Cheers.

You know me. I listen to reggae and I enjoy it. I am not a criminal, I am white and I am a motorcyclist. Your just spouting racist bullshit mate.

Would of loved to go but had to save my funds for a new Motorcycle tank.. I'm glad it turned out alright

And i'm a motorcyclist who enjoys reggae and classic rock. Your reasoning is flawed.

    Far out!

Sounded like you had a mean time!

Massive fan of ska & reggae, but didn't have the time to catch it down in Rotorua.

My flatmate's brother went down there with his wife for the day, they didn't hang round long after they saw a patched black power member knock a woman square in the jaw
