Thanks Nigel for taking the time to take so many pics and post them up. Especially on such a HOT day with bugger all shade.
    Excellent work that man.
I have to admit I like the one you got of my only 'accidental' wheelie of the day.

Nice one Nigel. Loving the ones of the Foster boys, Malc's and Troy's esp. Tough conditions for the camera to deal with, something that maybe faster glass cold cope with better?

I wonder if being further back and zooming would cure the focus thing (bigger depth of field), but then you would sacrefice the speed blur thing tho.

    Would love a faster lense

I think being further back would help with the focus, it was pretty much on the limit where I was standing. But the road I was marshalling on made it difficult to get further away from the bikes, while maintaining the ability to pan and shoot.

Great photos of a great day

I had a fantastic time if a little disappointed with my flying times but it was all the bike would give.

Anyone know if the finial results are posted anywhere?

But the majority are not very well focused. It's difficult trying to get a bike moving at those speeds to pose nicely for the camera

If anyone else is curious just post you bike details. I will have a look in the next few days and post them up.
Warrick is black zx14, with shoei helmet, and black alpinestar jacket

Kelvin was on the black 06 zx10r (polished), and black zx14 (not to sure on what gear he wears)

Paul heard - was on the racing mv august 312.

    Some nice shots there.

    Look for a Canon 70-200 F4 L on TradeMe.
What mode are you shooting in?

Those shots should have been in Ai Servo, TV mode, 1/320th to 1/640th and ISO100 (not ISO800) and you would have had a nice shallow depth of field with enough shutter to get a clear shot.
It would have brought the aperture down from f22 to f8 or so.

PS. Your camera is more betterer than mine...
