FOR SALE: my first true love! ZXR400r.

Hi all. Its time to buy a bigger bike.
Well the ZXR has just undergone a substantial rebuild,
The headgasket was leaking when i first got it (about 2 months ago) so i pulled it down and had all the valve clearences done and all the valve seats done also.
And it was treated to a new timing chain.

It now goes very very well and is ultra reliable.

It has a new chain and sprockets fitted (04/01/08).
the front tyre has about 7mm of tread and the rear is new (cost $350!!)

It is in really good cond (that would explain why when anyone see's it they cannot beleive what year it is.)
Has polished frame, and no decals (a fresh canvas).

I did buy this bike as my first true love, (I know its against the rules!! )
As I am 6'7 and 130 kg I did try a couple of 250's but it did feel dangerous as i has no power to pass and I couldnt use the rear brakes (proably something to do with my size 17 feet)

Right I originally paid $3500 for it, and i have now spent in excess of 2k on it as well (in the space of 2 months LOL)

And i would like $4000 for it. So all the hard work is done, it just needs to be ridden.

If you havent had the pleasure of riding one of these bikes they are pure enjoyment! They are ultra light and responsive and combined with sticky tyres they are a real weapon (would be even more fun for someone less than half my weight!)

    thanks alot..
    Will..

Hey, um.. I would have to look through the receipts..
dunno if they gave me individual prices.. shouldnt be more that $70 one would think. replace the tensioner and guides as well..
My bits were $440+gst gaskets chain and tensioners and guides.
Dunno if thats expensive or cheap..
    Very easy to replace..
