    hey guys

looks like you'll have an awesome day.

Did the anti-clockwise loop on Waitangi day. Road was sweet apart from some non-sign posted grit just south of Whangamata.

We didnt do the Kopu-Hikuai road, but others reported some roadworks in that run.

and remember to watch out for the 4WD's towing boats using half of your side of the road!

depends on the thou (and how you ride it), but an inline 4 would use a good tanks (15-16L) worth going kopu to kopu (190km ish iirc) - and you'd be on reserve.

Even then thats economical. Not sure the size of my tank but costs me $20 to fill once it hits reserve. I know I will need filling at kopu and then not sure if I will even make it to whitianga ( Hopefully will on reserve )??

You've probably already left for the loop, but anyhow, there is a station in Coro town (half way to Whitianga) plus I doubt it's 200km from Kopu to Whitianga considering the whole loop from Akl is just over 500kms.

FUCK...yeah! Is all I can say . Was an awesome as ride, mint to meet everyone. I think you'll be seeing ALOT of photos up here ay! One off in terms of Bomma on his zx7r, he's fine but bike's not too great, from what I heard he hit a rock. Another crash was a SUV on it's top off the road lol that was interesting. My bike played up a bit, got to Coro lookout and it wouldn't start, just made a ticking noise, bumped it and off I went. From then on it started fine...UNTIL halfway up Kopu hill I went to pass and just lost all power and cut out, lights dash and all! Wouldn't do anything for a while then finally bumped it with the help of you guys from Auck . Now it starts up fine again WTF! Loose connection maybe?

Anyway, looking forward to those photos! And hope the ride down the Waihi was allllll good.

Cheers guys! Not to forget Amy (I think)

Well, make that 2 bins, I lowsided on some slick tar just south of Whangamata and into the gravel, I was going at a medium pace at that stage, bad luck I spose, Bike is all good, just a few scratches and I rode it home (I love dirt bikes!), I'm typing this up with a sprained thumb at the mo', apart from that, jacket and pants arn't even scratched while my gloves are pretty cut up, my hands would have been mince with out them.
Cheers to GIJoe and Camo for coming back to check up on me even though I was back on the road by then.
Still, I had a good ride home just going slow, was an awesome day over all, great to see some new faces as well as the regulars.
Cheers to Midnightmike for voluntering your bike for the camera today, looks like some great footage I should have up with in a day or so.
Thanks to every one who came and made it such an awesome day.

Yea, as soon as the bike went I just rolled into the bushes, was probly doin about 50-60km. Quite pleased with how the bike stood up to it, my new hand guards have already done their job well saving the levers.

Thanks for a great ride guys! It was good to meet some more KB'ers and see what a bigger bikes can do (FARK, those things move.). Style points have to go to EJ for his stunting and thanks Deano for riding at the back with me . Sadly the GN just lacks enough power to really keep up on the up hill bits, but saying that; its time for a service so that might change things!
Can't wait to see some of the photos and keen to go for the full next time!

Yeah nice one Mike you kept up pretty well I thought! Sorry lost ya on the motorway a bit, that hill straight away must've killed you!!! My arse was getting pretty sore just sitting on the highway so I got off at drury anyway for a few more corners.

Finished by heading to the Karaka pub for a beer with my Dad and his mates lol, well deserved I thought! Ha!

Definitely full loop next time (Even though it's apparently only 30mins more), but maybe a diff place for lunch or ring in advance so that we wont be sitting around for an hour before some damn pasta and BLATs arrive!!!

MidnightMike, that is some awesome footage we got, it's quite weird to see how my riding looks from the front, this is gonna be good!

And it's quite funny watching you guys trying to figure out how to turn the camera off while it's still recording at the gas station!

And what was the name of the guy on the KR150? He gets a credit in the video along with Renegade Master and MidnightMike!
