    Hi Folks,

Yet another old bastard on the road I'm fraid. New GT650R Hyosung - Red.

I've ridden for years but never on fast roadbikes - currently teaching myself to countersteer.

    Welcome aboard!

I believe we have a 70 year old rider around, so at 41, you're a nice average around here sir!

Have fun, and only believe the "serious threads"' infos...everything else is far from viable.

Been wondering about those Hyosungs. Happy with it are you? Would you recomend one? Stack up alright next to jap bikes?

Hey Craig.. Well, I haven't ridden any other modern larger road bikes so I can't compare. Soooo, I can tell you it looks like sex, sounds like a thunderclap, and goes like a haunted shithouse, but 'comparison' - no. It's rather hard to hold onto in 2nd gear at full tap and the front is rather light at full boogeh, and I haven't managed to redline it yet. The shop told be it was quicker than the suzy 650 vtwin. It is emphatically NOT a smooth engine - the mirrors are a blur (thunderclap!) with more than half throttle on, but idling around it's a kitten.

So yeah I like it a whole lot. Very much actually. I never thought I would own such a thing. I had to sell my jetboat to get this, but so far it's been a good tradeoff.

Yes, it has been interesting looking through the sites' various opinions and factoids.

41 means you you BARELY qualify for the "Growing Old Disgracefully" mob. Wish I was 41 again. Lots of good day (or two) rides up your way. It takes a few rides to get back into it, so ride safe...for now. See ya out there.
