    Taggers

I agree with the maori leader, tagging is a valid form of expression and certainly is not a criminal act.
Where else are the kiddies going to spray their spray cans apart from on your newly painted fence, wall, shed etc.
In fact, i would have said it would be pollitically incorrect to remove this lovely artwork from your property.
Anyway, it's all the white mans fault for removing the maori's natural tagging grounds and putting up unsightly hospitals and schools, whatever next?!!?

When I was 14 I sprayed my initials on a neighbours fence. Of course as they were my initials it was easy to conclude who did it. (Came from a very small village). I got a kicking from the ol' man and a slap from the neighbour and was made to clean it off. And thus ended my tagging career. And no I didn't consider it as a form of artistic expression.

In New Guinea, they would probably just smash their hands with a hammer, or chop some fingers off.......... they would never tag again

Go tag their houses and ask them again what they think.

Happened with the Police Minister (hence why she wants to go tough on it now)

I wonder if they'd feel the same way if their local Marae got done?

Didn't a Maori politician once say that.....oops.......sorry it was "kill a white a day" and it was swept under the carpet by gutless pollies. Guess the reverse doesn't apply. Racism in reverse methinks.

It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

you'd think a leader of such status would be able to differentiate between graffiti and tagging. somebody email her a link to wiki.

Ooooh Oooooh I go for the option of catching the little buggers, stripping them down to the bare essentials of clothing, tying them to a rack, and letting the general population loose to spray them with all manner of hard-to-remove shit (i mean paint) then leave it to dry before releasing them off the rack.
Could be even more entertaining if they were naked......
p.s. and none of this namby pamby wash off with water paint!
