You'd definitely want this to be dependent on the type of bike. Dad owned a 1500 Vulcan with spoked wire wheels and everything was practically dipped in chrome. This took six hours to clean. Mind you, I was a car groomer so would've been somewhat fussier than Jo Average.

Cleaning the bike isn't so bad - but cleaning yourself afterwards is. So I bought a box of 100 Handsafe Nitrile disposable gloves. These fit well, are thin and really strong. Wipe surplus chain oil off and then peal off the gloves and drop in the rubbish - pure clean hands. I always wear gloves when cleaning the bike and keep a pair under the seat for emergencies.
    Here for the ride.

you're new... so you wouldn't know him...

I cleaned a bike today too... wasn't even mine... but I did cover it in bugs for 4000km odd, so fair's fair I guess I even cleaned its wheels, which I never do on my own. (a side note here... I love black bikes, but they are right bitches when it comes to looking dirty)

There is loopy, in auckland, and she's a specific motorcycle cleaner/groomer, then also r6_kid, who does it for greeeeeen (but he might steal it)
