I did track day 5. In fact it was my first ever track day. Nervious as buggery i was. Hardly new anyone as i was new to KB. But i had a blast and had all the sessions i needed. Unfortunitly accidents happen and there can be hold ups. It can be a bugger later in the day when people have to tavel long distances to get home.
Regardless of whats been said i would like to thank Frosty to at least get people together and have a laugh and some fun on the day.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Hence no takers!!!!!!
    Hey. Fuckwit.

You've obviously not been to one of these trackdays organised by the good Mr Frost, I usually leave early as I've had more than enough time on the track.

I'd be more inclined to blame the lack of early registrations on the date clash with another motorcycle event. Nothing anyone could do.

Ok Track day 5 from memory was the day we had Andrew Stroud there and Frosty nearly lost his life?

I dont recall any one getting less than their fair share of track time.

Frosty asked me to post this up.
Every track day Frosty and I do a debrief and wright up of the days events.
From the track day log book.
It looks like track day 5 had a disasterous start.

The Rt's we picked up in the morning hadn't been charged so we had comms issues.
Solution arrived at. Collect RT's on saturday pm
Solution result. TD6 no RT issues

Planned operations base was removed by track management forcing us to reposition ourselves in the start/finish tower.
Solution.use whats available/split start from control functions seperate person in each function
Solution Result TD6 better than could be anticipated with good communication between control and riders.

Comms issues with Control due to the bike noise beeing funneled up to the start tower.
Solution arrived at. Control to use earmuffs with RT speaker
Solution result -better than expected Follow up intending using earmuffs for all flag positions.

Very high crash rate in first sessions (refer crash log)
    Solutions arrived at.
Greater emphashis at RB (riders Brief) on riding to conditions during first session.
Cancel sighting laps replace with a 10 minute scrub/track familiarisation session for every group . Emphasis on it being a slow session.
Solution result td6 hard to gauge due to greatly improved track condition
Indicators are that it is a reasonable improvement with crash numbers reduced to 2 in first sessions

Inability to communicate with riders/bikes with riding/machine issues forcing full stop to sessions.Road riders not aware of black flag meaning
Solutions more care during scrutineering re brakes and tyres.
Create second "dummy grid" under control tower .Stop all riders leaving the track at this dummy grid waving all riders with no issues back onto track right away.
Use a "rolling" red flag to target rider concerned.
Solution result TD6 very little disruption to sessions, very few riders affected by bike/riders with issues. Issue numbers 10 same as TD5 so a very definite improvement.

    Slow change over between sessions
Solutions 3 finish flags waved at Start/finish from 1.5minutes from session end ,
point 7 at 30 seconds from session end and point 9 at end of session.
Start next session as last rider is on back straight.
Solution result Td6 Fast turn around resulting in 3 sessions per group before lunch

Complaints from fast group riders re 1 session before lunch.
Solution do not break for lunch untill all groups have completed 2 sessions.
Result hard to gauge as 3 sessions happented naturaly before lunch

The positives from TD5 were that in the afternoon all the lost track time was made up and every group got the planned 5 sessions for the day.Track management has assured us that there will be no more RT issues and layout wont be changing in a hurry.
