Great venue, had a great time and enjoyed meeting in person other KB's. Look forward to the 2009 rally. Cheers![]()
It was another great event, even if a Nighthawk did keep me up to some ungodly hour. I believe we were the last ones up in the whole camp before heading to our tents at around 4:15 am. Just as well the clocks went back an hour to 3:15.
Time to ride
Everything looked a bit hazy this morning though. I had a rather subdued ride home.
Time to ride
Nice to see y'all hada great time!! And SO photogenic to!
I am still recovering from Far Queue, Ghost Bullet and Mr Sensible 'inflicting' themselves upon me at Chez Scumdog - you should see the surprise the offered me in compensation.
(No doubt the presentation pics will be posted in due course)
Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........![]()

I did see some cans of some type of food being heated directly over a flame, but as far as I'm aware, nothing exploded.
Time to ride
Great to meet you GC, we had a blast, didnt we! Great riding with ya. Love that road, Kyeburn to Hyde.
A lovely afternoon was had by all. Bourbon, Camp brewed espresso (thanks Glen & Lynn), and Tequila shots with salt & lime = YUM also equals pissed by 4.00pm.
I don't believe we missed it, after all that waiting. No, you are pulling my tit!
PS; Free2be, Outback Al & I met Shek (Keith & Cathy) at Palmerston. He saw the Custard Tart and spied us out. Had a great catch up.![]()
The whole weekend was a ripper. The ride down from Christchurch, through to Geraldine, Fairlie, Omarama, Otamatata (pop in to see the recovering Oldrider) back to Omarama, Alex', Laurence, Milton and "Chez Scummy" for the night. And a great night it was to. I retired early due to over wearyness hitting me. Waking to blazing sun.
One Farq waking late, (hard nite it seems).
Making our way out through Outrum, and over those splendid hills to Middlemarch, The winding road meanders over crest's to reveals expances of beauty! The road surface itself was a little off-putting, not knowing if the centre of the lane was loose, ripples in the road, making the bike feel a little loose.
The rally did it's thing. No wind this year, that sure helped, awesome speaking to the old and new faces of KB and other random humans about the paddock of rock's.
Waking to a frost and a Ball of fire poking it's head over the hill.
It was a crisp 4 degree C ride over to Macraes Flat. Where we stopped to take in the monster of a hole in the ground where gold is being extruded. And the extreme trucks and all other machinery doing thier thing to move the earth from one spot to another.
The ride home was straight but relieving when lunch happened at the "Checkered Flag"
Bikes coming in from both directions, as the Sundown was held north of Chch.
Leg over the steed for the haul home.
Greeted riding though the gate with a kiss from the soft lips of Mrs Bullet, and giant hugs from the kiddy Bullets.
Always nice to get away to these gigs, and ever so nice to get home.
The Brass will soon be here, but pleased it is almost a couple of months away.
Thanks people.
Pictures will show up in a day or so.
