Solar eclipse over the next hour

was watching the news and they said "if you're near a window now, you can see the solar eclipse"
Me being the idiot i am, and already a beer deep into numbing the pain that was my day, stood up and looked.
Ow... T'was bright...
Stumbled around and found way back to chair
"But of course, dont look directly at the sun, as you can do permanent damage to your retinas"
Gee, thanks for the timely warning... My left eye is still fuzzy and starry...
