I've had a similar one Madmax, although I can't claim to be the culprit. I was teaching at Bay of Plenty at a tertiary provider, although I can't tell you which one. And the head of school in the staff room came out with a statement "there are no new ideas in the world". One distinguished lady teacher said "you're an idiot", after a brief pregnent pause her offsider said "... well that isn't an original idea".

Damn, I just got told not to be cheeky and got a clip around the ear. (The boss was my dad)

He had great fun in hiring new staff because he wasnt afraid of telling them what he wanted done at work and if they didnt do their job he would give them a clip around the head. When they laughed and said yea right, dad used to call me in and clip me just for fun Not many people argued with him then, they didnt think he was serious either

Very fun but when he did interveiws (15+ a day) it really started to hurt, thats why I recon I have great reflexes (Better than Neo's)

But yea, moral is, dont work with your dad, he'll hit you if he feels like it Didnt bother me though, being South African I reckon it doesnt harm kids to have a play by giving them a friendly clip on the ear. WSho needs written warnings

sniper_cbr just a little word of caution but im sure uve heard it before

its all good to laugh about until you get taken to court for unfair dissmissal.

my father is an employer and let me tell you, employees can take you to court and screw you real bad for the smallest slip up. Me and old boy have seen it happen to small businesses first hand (not his).

It realy shits me sometimes to see people fuck around, quit and then find a loop hole in the law to say something like they were pressured into leaving when all they did was fuck around and leave.

Only one many years ago. had this smart arse boss just out of the services. Air Force I think, anyway we had had a few tussles. Any way one day I opened my locker had found that someone had been rumaging throught it and my personal diary went missing from the work truck etc. So shortly after this we had words which resulted in him giving me a warning. I opened the letter and suddenly realised that I was not going to work for this arsehole. I tore up the letter and then tipped up his desk so that he was pinned underneath. Shit all his stuff went everywhere. Should have stomped on his face but I made my point. Never seen him since, thank god. Not like me to loose it but I lost it that day.
