Campbell Live's item tonight has completely fucked this woman's right to an unbiased jury and therefore a fair trial. Presumably they took legal advice beforehand.

My cousin is a baggage handler there and I was just talking to him about it , he said it all started for her in the food court when someone used the words "delicious' and 'lowfat' in the same sentence from there it was all down hill

As said why not shift the plane so the airport could operate.Obviously once no bombs evident.

Delays were long and I know of a few people going to Palmy for the stockcars teams champs, left sitting at airport for 7 hours, then arriving at track about 7.30 or so.Meeting started at 7.00pm,they were due to arrive about 1.30pm.

Another well qualified imported dork, perhaps she was in NZ to get citizanship, then she recieved it was going to try to get a work visa for aussie.

Why not shift the damn thing with a 100m rope, pull it to a remote corner of the airport.

Here's an example of a serious holdup yesterday... My Ex from years ago killed herself last week, and her parents were flying down for her funeral. But they missed the funeral because Chch was closed.

    That's a pretty significant deal.

And (cynical hat going on here) viva la refugee - look at the state Pomgolia is in with it's open-door policy and excessive p.c-ness.....do we want that here? Hell, we have enough home-grown lazy good-for-nothing losers leeching off the system as it is - and that's just the ones inside Parliament.
Ah-a man not afraid to have a non PC,Govt approved sanitised viewpoint. Watchout-they know where you live! She wants to bring 14 of her relatives here? Are they all as stupid? Meanwhile we train our brightest (eg Doctors) and watch them leave for better pay to Aussie. To be replaced by people like this. You would think with Britains failed immigation polices as an example we could do better.

Pretty much since she arrived in NZ (1995 or so?), she introduced herself to our legal / justice system and has pretty much been bouncing around in it ever since. As soon as I heard of the nationality broadcast on the news, I was 99% sure it would be her.

mmmm good thinking except after one of her previous 'escapades' I believe that she requested to be deported - why didn't they do it then?

I didn't see it but I heard about it. Perhaps there is a requirement for a commitment order over a right to trial - fair or otherwise. But yes - the reporting standards have fallen another notch.

On another note - regardless of the reason for the delay Steam - that is terrible news re: your ex's parents. They must be doubly devastated that they were not there. How sad

The fact that she is not a part of the Muslim community raises some interesting questions as to why not. I don't generaly give much truck to immigrants for reasons that are not part of this thread but this woman is a one sad sad lady.

She's off side with her religion her country men and God only knows who else and in a different culture. I'll put the boot in when it's deserved but not with this lady.
