Have you lost things while riding?

Just curious to see what people may have lost when out riding your two wheeled beauties?

I can see licenses will be a something people have lost, but I'm really asking about personal items or something on your bike that's fallen off.

I lost one of my glasses arms that was tucked away under my seat, must have waggled off, glasses went in the bin after that, too hard to replace the leg as I'd bought them from Britain.

I dropped my nokia 3410 cellphone twice in one week on the road amazingly very few scratches and the phone was 100% fine After that I made sure I got a jacket with a zipper

But they were made pretty tough back then wouldn't want to drop my current phone.

I lost my cap which wasn't secured properly. The annoying thing was, it had my badges on it that I had got from my trip to the IOM in '81.

I lost the whole right hand side of my fairing once.

Well alright, actually I've lost bits of my fairing a few times, but on this ride I lost my fairing without crashing.

There must have been some stress fractures there, and the whole thing just sheared off in the wind and I never even knew it was gone until I parked the bike.
Bummer of a way to lose your fairing. I never found it and those things are expensive!

Oh yes, and I had the bike key rattle out of the ignition and disappear once. That's a real bitch as well :-)

I lost a backpack when I first started riding (it wasn't secured down properly). That was an expensive mistake 'cause it had my phone, a sleeping bag, togs, and favourite shorts etc. I pulled over to look for it but never found it.

Cajun lost a pair of jeans and his scuffs out of his backpack once (on my bike, thank God it never scratched it ). We've since learnt to make sure the zipper is positioned at the side of the bag, not at the top.

I think the bad moods were the only thing worth losing there!

There have been some expensive loses in there. Hubby lost his favourite baseball cap and sleeping bag this weekend, doh, guess it pays to check things are very securely put on before setting off. Checking pockets is something I do pretty religiously.

A bike fairing would be a major loss, they're blooming expensive to replace.

On a ride in Aucks before we left a mates license and rego fell off during the ride, no idea where on the trip so that was a bummer.

I lost my company cellphone, while out riding my bike....when I was meant to be in my work wagon on a work related errand.

The person who found it (a fucking champion) went to a fair bit of trouble to return it to me, Pretty sweet as it was a $1000 phone. Pity word got back to the boss about how I managed to lose it.
