WTB: Ladies Gear for my GF - CHCH

    Gidday guys,
I've just talked the missus into buying an RD50 off TradeMe, and in the process totally deplete her funds! So if you've got any gear that you'd like to let go for a realistic price to an appreciative new rider then we'd love to hear from you. If you're local that would be even better!

SO, this is the part where I ask you to check your closets for...

    - Jacket - Sorted thanks to SDU (+offers from QuasiMoto)
    - Boots - sorted, TradeMe (ladies 7)
    - Trousers

    Here's the wee beastie!
    Yamaha RD50 1981

She and her old man are currently rebuilding the engine and giving it a damn good clean, even though according to him it's in amazing condition for the age. So she'll be coming to a road near you very soon! Right after she shells out for a top end rebuild kit, brake shoes, bulbs and various other little bits and pieces - not cheap!

I've contacted QUASiMOTO already, but he's been away on business so I'm still eagerly awaiting his response.

Yeah, it's a great wee thing. It'll do 75kph, and it's registered as a moped. It's FTW - and the engine is in amazing nick, apart from a little blowback from a stuck ring which will soon be fixed.

I'm just trying to get the pics from today off her, so I can post up one of her actually on it ;P. It's funny how it's perfectly suited to her 5"2 frame, looks much bigger when she's on it.

No probs with the gear either, I'm sure one of our fellow KB'ers will have something floating around for her!

Nice of you to offer man! But we're both safety nazi's and she's already budgeted for a new lid (got her eye on that glittery HJC model!).

Thanks again for the offer, sure you haven't got anything else tucked away in the closet ;P?

Bet that wasn't cheap! You'll have to keep me posted as to the results, because I've often considered doing just that myself.

The thing is you need to buy at least a hundred items or more so the freight per item starts being a winner. Will keep you posted.

Welcome to KB and motorcycling, I hope you enjoy the wee Yamaha, look after it coz I reckon it's going to be worth a reasonable amount of coin in the not too distant future, it'll be a rare classic.

Thanks Yeah I've had this advice from both my guy and my dad, so I'll be sure to look after it and hang on to it for a few years at least Shes a definitely a wee cutie and should do for now (Until I get the bloodlust, of course!).
