Did my basic handling yesterday & passed . Thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Not as easy as you all make it out this riding of bikes, but I'm keen & will go for my learners next week.

    yay!! well done BB!!

yeah, it isn't that easy but you just gotta go and do it until you get there hehe.. yeah I'm going Monday for my learners maybe... but I might wait until the week after when I get paid just for the fact that I went and spent 12.50 on practice questions meaning i'd be over budget if i went and got my licence done before i got paid.... lol...

still saving for that bike though... not long now!!

by the way, who did you do it with?

Edit: would rep you ... buuut... i have to spread it around first... GREEN! (or not so green anymore)

hey if you have to wait.....I know a place out in whenuapai, who can do it for $40 using his bike (if you don't need lessons etc) he's really good and you can pretty much get it done straight away.....just some quick advice anyway! good luck either way!

nah ive done the basic handling a few weeks ago, it's the scratchy test i'm talking about having to wait for. thanks for that though hun ^_^ however, if that was before i'd done the BH i'd have to decline as well coz i definately needed the lesson for that haha!

You have to do the basic handling to get the Landtransport Certificate to hand in when you go & get your learners, so either way it's going to cost.
AJ I got all the Questions as well & it only cost me $5, How come yours was so expensive??
    Guess Who??

$5 for the whole lot? (obviously not!) no it's $40 for the basic handling part, Iv'e just heard of people paying $150 (like my big bro but he had to have some training!)

I paid $50 for the basic handling. $5 for the Questions when I do the theory. The theory will cost as will the licence, but can't remember how much that all is. No doubt around the $80 mark. The government does very well out of the licencing system.

Hi Curious AJ, Hows the riding going since you got your learners?
RiderInBlack took me down to Planet Honda on Tuesday & I took out a CBR125 & then after that a CBF250... Was nervous as hell as it was my first time since doing the balance test. Once I'd had a little play around the railway station car park We decided I was Ok to go out on the road. Doug was awesome, he took Zena & rode a little ahead of me all the way & gave me some good pointers. Loved the 2nd bike & looking forward to a longer ride on the 2nd one as we didn't have time to go the same route as the first one. It felt alot safer & nicer position for me.

going really well, riding all over the place now that my bike's working. hehe... it's my only form of transport now as well as i don't have daddy to give me a lift so i've been doing lots more riding, and it's great! however, sometimes my bike does funny things like having it's battery flat after 2 hours standing with no lights on or anything... it was working all day, then yesterday it decided it was dead when i was set to head off from seeing my dad for 2 hours.. :S weird. but we charged it and all was fine in the end ^_^

up for my risky soon too, if not already, i don't remember how long it's been and am lazy to check. though need to get my full car licence first i think for practical reasons (using car to transport animals etc)
