Did my basic handling yesterday & passed. Thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Not as easy as you all make it out this riding of bikes, but I'm keen & will go for my learners next week.

yay!! well done BB!!
yeah, it isn't that easy but you just gotta go and do it until you get there hehe.. yeah I'm going Monday for my learners maybe... but I might wait until the week after when I get paid just for the fact that I went and spent 12.50 on practice questions meaning i'd be over budget if i went and got my licence done before i got paid.... lol...
still saving for that bike though... not long now!!
by the way, who did you do it with?
Edit: would rep you ... buuut... i have to spread it around first... GREEN! (or not so green anymore)

hey if you have to wait.....I know a place out in whenuapai, who can do it for $40 using his bike (if you don't need lessons etc) he's really good and you can pretty much get it done straight away.....just some quick advice anyway! good luck either way!

Got my BHT and training booked for tomorrow, should be good as long as its not raining too much, im going through Riderskills just from what everyone on here has said about them so far.
Dont want to have to study the road code again tho, its been 8 years since i got my car full, Why cant it just be the questions specific to motorbikes![]()
mine cost that much coz i got some of the normal questions to go with the bike ones.. i got three of the normal papers.. i thought it'd be good to brush up.
oooh well done!! .. and yes i agree. i did my car learners like 3 years ago it wa still fresh i tells you!! but i studied anyway.. i'm just like that... a nerd lol..
anywho!! good luck for the test and Phil is great with the lesson etc. you'll do awesomely!! just remember, relax, tell yourself you're the awesomest at learning how to ride and tell yourself to absorb the knowledge, watch the demos and most of all HAVE FUN!!!

I am Now the Proud Owner of an "L" Plate for my first bike when I buy it. I passed learners Theory test today, so it's all go. Looking at possibly getting a little Yamaha Scorpio 250cc as my starter bike. Will keep you informed how it goes

Hi Curious AJ, Hows the riding going since you got your learners?
RiderInBlack took me down to Planet Honda on Tuesday & I took out a CBR125 & then after that a CBF250... Was nervous as hell as it was my first time since doing the balance test. Once I'd had a little play around the railway station car park We decided I was Ok to go out on the road. Doug was awesome, he took Zena & rode a little ahead of me all the way & gave me some good pointers. Loved the 2nd bike & looking forward to a longer ride on the 2nd one as we didn't have time to go the same route as the first one. It felt alot safer & nicer position for me.

going really well, riding all over the place now that my bike's working. hehe... it's my only form of transport now as well as i don't have daddy to give me a lift so i've been doing lots more riding, and it's great! however, sometimes my bike does funny things like having it's battery flat after 2 hours standing with no lights on or anything... it was working all day, then yesterday it decided it was dead when i was set to head off from seeing my dad for 2 hours.. :S weird. but we charged it and all was fine in the end ^_^
up for my risky soon too, if not already, i don't remember how long it's been and am lazy to check. though need to get my full car licence first i think for practical reasons (using car to transport animals etc)
