Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?
A tight job market doesn't mean business owners can run their businesses well...

Being an aged being, one has had too many bitter experiences with redundancies. What I have learned is that it is generally better to be a goer than a stayer. This way you have regained control of your own life. It may feel a bit daunting and uncertain to be "jobless", but you always have options and people with the right attitude will always do well.
All the very best with your new life!

arn't you old enough to retire anyways?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
Sorry to hear this. I know your system is different to the UK but I loved being self-employed. I liked having the freedom to have holidays when I wanted rather than battling with everyone else to get them.
Also being your own boss will give you more independence which can never be a bad thing.
Hope all goes well and that you find plenty of work.

What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here. QWQ
sorry to hear it, Mom ...... but it happens - and you certainly sound as though you are the sort of gal who won't let it hold her back for long!!
good luck with your new direction!![]()

I am sorry to hear of your redundancy. Having been there myself twice many years ago I have empathy. I recall having thoughts about it (mine) in different ways. Some days it felt like someone had thrown you on the trash heap because you were expendable or were most recently hired. I felt I had been victimised. Other days I saw it as an opportunity to find a better job through being pushed instead of making the move myself. And I did find better jobs. Looking back today I think the trash heap thoughts are not worthy of thinking about as I have learned so many new skills and knowledge that I never would have gained if I had stayed in my first job. I would most likely have stagnated in that job anyway.
You sound like someone who has skills that are very portable so could use them anyplace and even as your own boss as you say. Take control! Good luck in whatever endeavours lie ahead of you. There will be a silver lining in this cloud even if you have to make it yourself.

Always makes one a little anxious, but I somehow doubt you'll have too much trouble making ends meet. Good luck Mom.

No thanks mate, I love laughing at Maha man when he has it though.....LOL
Seems I have developed a bit of a bad attitude at work. The new owners put on a BBQ shout at 4pm today as a meet and greet. My boss asked me if I was going, well no says me not a lot of point really, oh good he replies, you can stay back and answer the phones!!!
Ok, so all the staff get to finish work early and have a free feed and beers with the new boss, and the only one losing their job gets to stay and work
No dice! Fortunately I had to get to the bank before it closed![]()
