I would bet on it that we will come down the middle via the Parongia express, jump onto SH4 through to Taumaranui then hang a left across the Saddle Road to Turangi. We could make a slight deviation and meet up @ Te Awamutu.....

Geez woman and they say Aucklanders don't know the country P/T.

    Somewhere near Taupo?

Whatawhata not far from Te Awamutu either, come down the SH3 till Ahititi, then turn off to Ohura,Taumaranui,as an option, nice coastal road.

    Lightbulb Suspension Setup

    Hey Guys

I just had what I think is a brilliant idea!

Would anybody have any objections if I was to contact Shaun Harris and offer to comp him for the weekend (ie pay for his cabin and alcohol) in exchange for him tweaking our suspensions over the course of the weekend.

I've never meet the man, but by all accounts he's a top bloke, and this sort of thing might be right up his alley.

On another note do any of you know him personally and do you know if he's back on the bike yet?

Also I'd like some help to cover the costs of comp'ing him (I suspect it would be around $200 in total for the weekend if he brings his family as well).

$10 or $20 each to have your suspension optimised would be a bargain.

    Cheers

    Shane

    What dates is this over?

Read further up that some people are meeting in Te Awamutu... Would you guys then ride back down Wharepapa South Rd, Western Bays and then the back route down Lake Taupo to Turangi?

We will be riding down on the Friday via Taumaranui (SH4). Most of the crowd will be riding down on the Saturday. Just happens me and Qkkid will be on holiday so we can wander on down Fri arvo and test the Hot Pools before everyone turns up!

Just remember to get out if the water level starts to rise, especially after lots of bears and wine.
