    Rear Damper Spring wanted

I have just bought a scooter which has a paoli rear shock and of course the spring is too soft. Has anyone any idea where I can source a spring of the right wire diameter and length so I can stop the bottoming please..?
    Cheers

There will likely be absolutely nothing aftermarket. If you can remove the spring and in the first instance advise its free length and coil id at each end. If there is anything at all close the next step is to then send the spring to me so I can test its rate. If you also send the damper it may well confirm my suspicion that it is single acting i.e damping in rebound only. This is to keep the cost down and is combined with a heavily preloaded and / or progressive spring. Damping is about slowing down rate of change of position. A heavier spring will help but wont solve the fundamental problem of poor or no damping, especially in a g out situation.
