    TYGA style NC29 CBR400RR

The JadedBlade NC29 build has begun, with a 12 day deadline to attend Menies Great Coro Loop ride next weekend. No pressure.

    Progress after last nights efforts:
    Day 1

    Shift-i system fitted.

    HEL Green/black braided lines fitted.

    Wave rear brake rotor fitted.

Front wave rotors... are too big. Forgot I have an NSR front endwith 272mm discs and not NC29 296mm ones bugger. Off to see an engineer to fab and cert some relocating mounts for the calipers.

Fairings, lights and brackets stripped off and boxed for sale or a rainy day project.

Wiring stripped out of subframe and brackets modified.

    Subframe repainted.

    Wiring rerouted.

TYGA RC211V fairings and accessories fitted up.

V-can green mixed up ready for spraying.

    Day 2...

Need to lay up masks for graphics and decals as well as remove the front end for the engineer to make the caliper mounts.
Remove fairings and prep fopr paint.
    Sand tank for paint.
Order new Dunlop GPRA-10's and some brake pads.
Plastic weld Mellissa's ZXR fairings, swap out her steering bearings and sort out the spongey front brake she moans about.
    Change oil in both bikes.
Reorder the CORRECT foot peg (have two rights, no left) and the CORRECT front fender (NSR not NC29 CBR) and screen (I asked for a tint and got a clear) and hope it all arrives on time.

Why do you want to get it done so soon? My VFR project started 8 months ago

    Photos uploading now.

Its being done quick because I have built a ton of cars and have help on a few D1NZ drift car and NZPC/Rev Mag cover car builds and have seen what happens when a project drags on. I prefer to get in, go hard and then get it back on the road or track where it belongs asap.

The last major done to my car included: body kit repairs, New engine and clutch, Painting/colour coding of engine, gearbox, engine bay bonnet underside and boot as well as fitting a second nitrous system. All this was done in 3 days and 3 nights, from Friday to Sunday. Had a team of skilled hands crawling all over and under it, had some great BBQ's and the end result rocked!

Do you have your own shop or you work for someone?

Cause if you're looking at hiring, I'd be keen to move next to the race track Though I've just applied for Weltec (automotive refinishing) which I'll probably stick to anyway.

Why go for TYGA fairings? Those CBR's look good original.

Just curious, not knocking the TYGA fairings cause I'd have them if I could get them.

    1. I hate the big fat ass and upright front on the old 90's bikes
    2. I love the 400 and so needed to modernise it alittle
    3. Nothing I've EVER owned has remained stock.

I'm searching for a 99 NC29 CBR400RRR as a replace ment for the double R, so all this work can be transplanted to the newer bike very simply.

I know what you mean by big arse and flat front. Though I remember Morcs old VFR had a cool front, looked like a stock front but the nose pointed out and the lights were further back in it.

I'd be getting a TYGA tail but I don't want to loose the back seat since I often take pillions. Do you know if the CBR subframe could fit onto a VFR?

Nothing I've owned has remained stock, the modification process hurts a bit.

That would be good, cheers. I had given them an email about it, didn't get an answer back.
