    So we've got:
    1) Kork Ballington
    2) Mick Grant
    3) Anton Mang
    4) Graeme Crosby
    5) Ron Haslem
    6) Marco Lucchinelli

    What about the Sidecar unit?
Clue: the pic is taken during the 81' IOM Sidecar TT, it's a TZ700 powered unit in the process of setting a 101.56mph lap

    right on the money!.
That pic was taken during their second leg run which took them to 2nd place behind the Taylor/Johansson crewed unit.
On the 1st leg they cracked up whilst lying 3rd on the final lap

They were machines that you HAD to ride, no electronic gimmickry to help you.
Ah, the memories....thanks for sharing, Bill.

It's very sad when you realise the guys you watched as a young chap are now considered 'classics'.

lols mate you should see (will see) pics I've found of the like of Castrol 6hr series, bol D'or etc, most of the racers must have had nuts the size of basketballs

Yeah but these guys inspired the minds of the current fleet of speed merchants, so more respect to them and considering the technology of the time the old racers raced against the odds with a fraction of the budget backing them.

Actually at first I thought you had to name the race bike rather than the rider as it was posted in this forum rather than the Racing forum.
