A Big Day Out to the Art Deco Festival

This is a day ride to the Art Deco Festival in Napier and back.

Depart: Brown Owl Shops (Just off SH2 on the Akatarawa Rd)
Time: 0700, Sunday 17 February

Ride up via Masterton - Pongaroa - Waipuk - Napier
Return via SH50 & SH2

There will be gas stops in Masterton & Waipuk' for those that need it.
We should arrive in Napier before lunch and spend a few hours enjoying the festival before departing for home around 1500 or 1600.

The weather forecast looks good all over NZ for Sunday. Even if things change a little Hawkes Bay seldom has a bad day this time of the year. This is an excellent ride, just on 630kms round trip. Was up there last weekend, not sure if I can get away this weekend but will try.

Art Deco weekend is a step back in time...to where men were gentlemen and ladies dressed up. It comes complete with the values of the 30's too. And it is shit loads of fun!

There were plenty of magnificent vehicles as well as a couple of Tiger Moths and a Catalina which flew past.
