Need something to do when not riding??? Come and learn to dance with us at www.cerocstars.co.nz
He means Oozing.
The literacy haters will no doubt be here in a moment, demanding various bits of our anatomy for a. pointing it out (naughty Blue Velvet), and b., daring to produce the correct spelling for oozing.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
Im confused...

I finally got my knee down! …and my shoulder …and my pillion’s head.
I personally dont see the need for an earlier ride. If people want to go different places thats happened in the past and I have no problem with that.
By the time people finish work and battle through the traffic to lower hutt many wouldnt be able to make it much earlier anyway (I could, but in general).
Its going to start getting darker earlier and earlier, its not like 15 mins will stop people from having to ride home in the dark. And it'll get mighty confusing if it starts 10 mins earlier each week until its leaving at 3pm![]()
Inregards to starting early, just look at the TRTNR. The meeting place changed, no biggie right? Heaps of people still ask where it meets now. The same will happen with the TCWNR. I know people who go on these rides that don't post or even read these forums. Then they'll turn up and sit in the car park going "what the fuck?"
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.
The more ride options the better i reckon, create your own ride thread for wednesday nights Buckbuck and those whom want to ride with you will do so.
As long as people are out riding then they will have less reason to be in these threads moaning about thread hijacks etc.
Personally if there was a later ride around 7pm then that would suit me better than both the early and TCWNR. Maybe another rider wants to put their hands up to do a later ride like this - so long as they dont get shot down for not staying with the usual flock of sheep.
I'm thinking of organising a hot chicks ride leaving the duck pond at 5:59pm sharp.
Only rules are I'm the only bloke and I get to go last.
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
Fascinating, that answers a lot of questions I had:
* Does anyone else agree with me?
* What happens if you spend your entire working life in the military?
* I wonder if BuckBuck did it?
With "Yes", "that", and "yes" as the answers. So, without making reference to RantyDave in the third person (y'see what I did there? didya? didya?) I shall endeavour to perhaps explain.
BuckBuck - you come across as someone who likes rules, order, and who badly wants to be in charge. I don't know if you spent a life in the military being in charge, or a life in the military wanting to be in charge - in either case it would probably suit the wider community's amusement to not tell me and see if I can figure it out. Either which way - while you are without doubt a fine chap, there are those of us within our ranks for whom the very act of wanting to be in charge is ... something worth rebelling against. It ... just ... grates. Unlike leadership, which is a truly beautiful thing when done well. But, takes all sorts, right? So what does this have to do with TCWNR?
The way I see it there's a difference between "being in charge" and "being a leader". Specifically that someone in charge takes something over, and a leader builds something. This "leave from the duckpond 15 minutes earlier" shit is, for those of us who have not spent a life in the military, a way transparent takeover attempt on something which, to be frank, does not need taking over. I think there are currently problems with TCWNR (another thread it it's own right), and certainly problems with my 'relationship' to TCWNR but these are never going to be fixed by .... ahh fuck.
Look, it's like trying to get off with a girl by standing between her and her boyfriend while they're having a quiet drink. It might, on paper, seem like a good idea but all it really does is make you look like a dick.
Unfortunately I find myself reduced to a mere analogy to make my point, but it is my point. As many others have posted you are welcome to set up rides and use this fine resource to promote them. You may choose, for instance, to resurrect "BuckBuck's Bunch for Brunch" although I would suggest losing the "BuckBuck's" moniker since it alerts potential attendees to the underlying motivations behind the ride - namely the burning desire to be in charge.
I appreciate and encourage your efforts to aid the newbies. And, indeed, it may yet become the case that you slowly and quietly become even more of a central figure in the microcosm of our society which is TCWNR - perhaps even leading to something which may be described as leadership. However, I suggest that this would come to pass as a result of your understanding and embracing of the community in which you find yourself, and not merely attempting to nick off with it.

Seriously Dave, your comments are appreciated.
Who or what type of leader I was is immaterial to this forum, but most importantly, what is important is that I learn from my experiences outside the service. And hopefully new riders and older riders get an insight too.
The bottom line for me is how comfortable do I feel riding on a Wednesday night and how some others may feel also.
If I have pressed some of the wrong buttons so be it - and there is no attempt 'to nick off with it.'
Made for good reading your views, once again, thank you.
Heads Up and Enjoy
It's all about the riding isn't it...?
