True enough - I actually thought that the ZXR250A was a bit lighter than that. I found a weight saying 171 kgs (doesn't say dry or wet - I'm hoping that would be wet. Gotta find someplace to weigh my own.). The ZXR250C says 141 kg dry on Wiki.
Found 149 kgs dry for the Hornet. That's going to make a difference for sure.
Difference in rider weight is of course also a significant factor when we're looking at smaller machines like these.

Still though people do under estimate my sexy lil beast, Im more like 65kg but that drops when im not doing any sports, All i was trying to get across was hondas arnt gay lol the cars maybe but id still own one lol they cheap and nice to drive.
Ive had nuemerous people on other bikes ask me " what the fuck is it" so cant be gay if most people dont even no what it is
Oh, I don't belong to the "Hondas are gay!"-camp... No matter what some people say Honda makes some of the finest NA engines around and I get angry whenever I hear about some fuckwit chucking a turbo on a V-TEC!
And if I were free to choose a sportscar tomorrow it would either be a Porshe or a Honda NSX. A reliable super car you can drive every day
"Funny" about the ZXR250A - it's next to impossible to dig out any specs on them.

good cause hondass go hard and it not a strange thing to see them with +250,000km on them.
i just googled 1990 zxr spec and on paper your bike lighter more power and more torque? hmmm must be that there that bloody old.
Wouldnt mind the brand new ninja man the sexy looking things,
keep thinking fuk this i wana r6 cant wait to get off my 250 lol
Im well aware of the fact that the further out u hang ur head/upper body holding the bike more upright the faster the bike will corner but theres only so far u can hang off the bike before u have to actually lean the bike right over too... thats y the tyre is curved. The pegs scrape when im just nearing the egde of my tyre (warning) and my knee is touching. i reccommend bridgestone battlax tyres, HUGE grip makes achieving these angles easy and very forgiving when those heart in mouth moments occur. Problem is they dont last all that long when constantly riden hard lol
I only found one resource for the ZXR250A and that's not very good IMHO. According to that one it's 171 kg (dry or wet - it doesn't say) and makes no mention of the power (should be 45 hps according to everything I've heard).
What did you find?
And I'm actually not too keen on the new ninjas...
There are heaps of threads on the subject of hanging off, getting your knee down, etc. so won't comment on that part.
However, it sounds like you should consider going to the track - that kind of riding wouldn't leave much of a margin to handle unforeseen situations. Take care.

ditch the girl ive "only" got a cbr250r as well and yes getting it off the clock doing stoppies and mass clutch slipping wheelies is a hell of a lot of fun.. ex had the same problem didnt ride didnt understand. get some freedom! 250s are fun, i could have a bigger bike if i wanted but whats more fun than pissing off a guy on a 600 because you can go round the corner faster than he can with your knee sliding etc or sitting on the tank. stuff the big bikes.... stuff the partners just have "friends with benefits!" hahahaha
As I have said thoughout it is about compromise but at the same time so many people are like limpets and can't be alone.
Poeple need to have time to themselves as well as time shared with a loved one. It is reaching the balance and some people just do not seem to be able to achieve this, usually as one person is more needy and demanding than the other.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here. QWQ
