Many many moons ago, when I was working for the Forest Service on the West Coast, one of my flatmates was growing his own.
He left the glasshouse door open one day. We came home to find a flock of Pukeko had invaded and done in most of his crop.
And man those stoned birds were hilarious to watch. Some asleep standing up in the driveway, one tried to fly - straight into the wall of the garage. You just had to laugh - it was either that or cry

When I used to drive my cage down coast road late at night in welly rabbits would always leap and suicide into my car.
I had one fly into the work ute windscreen coming from the right....Looked in the mirror to see where he went and thought where the hell did he go...a few seconds later he dropped out of the sky, lol must have gone straight up
