Some valid points for PD's continuance. Accepted.

As far as I'm concerned posts and threads are effectively deleted when moved to PD.

PD is described as a black hole in the FAQ - I think it's fairly accurate: There's an event horizon and nothing ever escapes PD after it's been sucked in.

But then again, I've before expressed my opposition towards any form of censorship whatsoever. And again I wonder why the "lock thread" tool is never used instead.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

SpankMe prefers that no thread is locked, unless a good reason is supplied by the OP. Either we PD it (which is a last course of action, generally threads will only be PD'ed if the first post is PD material) or prune it.

PD is such a pretty black and blue though

Wasn't PD originally to stop 'meaningless' posts from adding to post count and stop people boosting their counts up? Now R&R doesn't count and PD has now become quarantine.

    More, sensorship, as Joni remarked.............

    No comprehende?

PD is not sensorship? Without PD it would be needed, but PD alleviates any sensorhsip. As you know posts and threads are not deleted on KB, as on other sites.

It'd be useful to make it searchable. There's a lot of good posts get thrown in there (baby out with the bathwater so to speak).

It's censorship by proxy really. "I'm not censoring it - just putting it somewhere it'll never be found".

    +1

Any moderation that involves modification or relocation of any text body is censorship.

    Hey, an intelligent reply.

Please let me know what the result of this poll is so that I can ignore it.

    Thanks.

Ban PD? No... just delete the posts all together.
