    Mac help... again.

    Got Mac. Leopard, Intel based machine. Just bought a Mac compatible external USB Hard drive. Click on the install button and...
    FUCKEN NOTHING!!!

    Okay, forget about some virgin, pimple faced, graduates code... I'll just reformat it as a HD so it looks like a massive storage device (which is what I want).

    How the fuck do I do it? Mac's HD Utility doesn't appear to have a simple "Fuck the drive, reformat the bitch" button.

    Help please...

    if disk utility can see the drive then :

    change the partition type to one, click apply ?

    edit: click the partition button

    I thought MACs were suppose to be easy... and... oh never mind through it out the iWindow and get iOther

    install what????

    Plug it in and it will appear on the desk top.
    If not - restart the machine with it plugged in.

    then we talk format.

    sounds to me like you should have got a windows system
    easy piezy ...i know its windows but hey i dont have time to fuck round with the pc if it cant work it out its out the door

    Partitioning the drive as per TA's advice... as I type this. Try doing that with a fucken PC.

    youd be better with xp for a year or 18 months longer yet

    There are disk tools in the OS - help is your friend.

    Correction... just rebooted and copied 2GB of photo's in under a minute. I'm happy with that.
