Talking of Philosophy, we're supposed to be studying Socrates in Classics, and we've started off the subject by watching the movie Troy.

    ... Nope, I don't get it either.

That movie was just an excuse to show off that dude's arse. Brad Pitt I think (couldn't think of his name for a sec, I'm just that out of it...).

Watching Superbad in sex ed would be more apt.

Ughhh. Brad Pitt is the worst person they could have picked for Achillies, I swear... Having been raised on Greek Mythology as a child (my parents don't believe in bible stories) I was just angry at this. And Orlando Bloom as Paris?!

    Heaven give me strength.

But at least my teacher doesn't care if I sleep in class.
Who, me? I just wander from thread to thread.

    Agreed.

Orlando Bloom has only ever entertained me once. His cameo on Extras was superb. However that was more writers than acting talent, but he did well.

No school untill a week from now so I get to sleep in on my own bed

Political correctness: a doctrine which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd from the clean end.

Ughhh. Sleep full stop would be a glorious thing. As I'm at my parents' for the weekend, my sister came over last night with her two year old daughter and after we'd all eaten and my niece was tucked up in bed asleep my sister dragged me out to town... And as said to Waylander before, Taumarunui is a hole to start with, and the nightlife is no better it seems! We drove around for an hour and a half and finally got back at about 1am.

Went to bed, and my bedroom is right beside the one where my niece was sleeping. Now, my folks have a dog but my sister doesn't, so when Max started barking at 2:30am it woke my niece, scared her, and she started crying. My sister was in the next bedroom down and couldn't hear her but boy did I hear her. So I had to get up and settle her back down and if there's one thing I suck at it's kids. I love my niece but she sees me so rarely she barely knows who I am! But she did calm down quite quickly I guess.

Let me express my momentary feeling of pride at this:
Oh god, she's stopped crying, I did something right!

But I'm back in Hamilton tonight, wheeee. I get my normal bed back... Yus!
