Here's what some people think will be a good solution: allowing hidden guns to be carried in universities by students.
I just don't get Americans. They breathe and eat and speak English, but those appear to be the only things we have in common.

In the wake of last week's Illinois university shooting gun lobbists are calling for laws to allow students to arm themselves.

In what seems a distinctly American response to a distinctly American problem, last week's Illinois university shooting appears only to have spurred a push to allow students to carry guns.

An internet-based lobby, Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, wants lawmakers to overrule university boards that ban guns on campus, so that staff and students could arm themselves against mass killers.

There's something very basic I am missing about Americans. I just don't understand them. Incomprehensible.

Not only that, apparently the states with the highest legal gun ownership per capita have lowest rates of violent crimes. The states with enforced gun-free zones have the highest.

i think if you can't live without seeing a psychiatrist (about 80% of americans have one, 60% have theirs on SPEED DIAL) or learn how to spell (color, mom, etc) you shouldn't be allowed to carry anything more lethal than a comb. and then you should have a licence for the comb if you want to carry it.

Its bloody hard to get a gun here in NZ without a licence, and you dont get a licence if the cops decide they dont trust you,

no, If nobody had vechicals then ppl wouldn't speed. outlawing the crime doesn't stop the crime, removing the means to comit the crime does.

The american empire is goin down. The people are scared and brainwashed, the politicians are stupid beyond recognition, and the few sane people are getting the hell out. i'm not surprised at anuthing that is remotely related to the US any more.

I dont have a solution for them, maybe if they started everything from scratch they may have a future.

I'm just enjoying the show...
