Did you not understand Indy's post? The crims don't need a licence to get and use a gun because they don't give a fuck about breaking the law. Like the lower speed limits and harsher punishments for speeding, it wont stop the people that do it all the time just to show off and generally be dicks. IT will just make life harder for those that do try to do the right thing and only every now and then go a little bit over to pass a slow car.

    I'm just enjoying the show...
Like the politicians here are anything to be proud of? Personally mate I'd choose the American government over yours.

    Bring it on!

    Let them carry them!

I carry a knife with me all the time as I have a few enemies, and even though the cops know the situation, if something happened to me, the cops would be too late any way.

Gotta disagree there man, I've managed to get a hold of 2 rifles and a sawn off shotgun quite easily which I handed into the cops as I sure as hell didn't want them, more trouble than they're worth if I got caught with them.
Like Waylander said, crims don't give a shit about breaking the law!

how many people can you name that you would trust to carry and handle a gun in a crowded and confused situation during an emergency. (and you cant choose John McClain) Or could be trusted with a loaded firearm 100% of the time.

Now how many people can you name that you wouldnt want to be around if they carried a gun all the time. People who get drunk, use drugs, loose it in traffic, get upset, depressed or in any way unstable.

More guns dont make people safer, they just make everyone more scared of each other. Not a good way to be.

I like the idea of everyone having guns as a crime deterrent. But don't all of the guys who go on these rampages commit suicide with their last bullet anyway. So the threat that someone may kill them wouldn't bother them.

But they'd kill less people before someone took them out.

Unfortunately it's in the American Constitution that American's have the right to own a gun so banning them is gonna be difficult

I'm glad I didn't have access to a gun because I'm sure I would have used it.

You'd pee your pants and then go hide in a corner crying.

    "Second Amendment:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

So, bollocks, unless you can tell me that everyone with a gun belongs to a militia force, that is implicitly set up with the purpose of protecting the State, then they don't have the right.
