    True

But as was said - do ignore anything that's all in caps! (parts of my original post included if it makes your blood boil)
No blood is boiling here. Could be fatal!

Fuck, if you told me you had received it in caps and the retyped it into proper writing I'd red rep you for being an asshole! Why?

    1. Because it's a stupid idea - the not buying gas thing.
That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Personally I can see two sides to it:
    - It would not achieve the effect that is wanted
    - I say good on the ones who want to make a point
Yeah, I guess the same goes for suicide bombers

    2. Because it would be a waste of your time.
But now I am wasting my time writing this reply to you, and if I had re-typed it in the first place I would not have to write this...
Trust me - this was faster. If I get a break from working on my post count tomorrow I might just do a proper investigation of exactly how much time you've saved...

    3. You should be more lazy than that!
Rather doing something more fun, like getting laid
Yeah, but nothing wrong with a lazy fuck though. Think I'll go to bed and sleep personally.

    4. You should have ignored what was written in caps to begin with.
Caps do not offend me. What is written with them at times do.
Nothing offensive about caps indeed - it's how they're used IMO.

    Peace.
    Groovy
    Baby!
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

That's what I thought yes....and now yours makes more sense to, though I do believe there'd be little affect either way for the oil companies.

So, all those missives from Nigeria are ok then?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

a boycott wouldnt work anyways, specially one thats only circulated by email. there are many buyers of petrol who dont have a computer or any clue how to use one, and they will get gas no matter what.

but, like said above, dont come to mine. then i might actually get a chance to have some lunch instead of dealing with growly customers and growly tummy.

if you targetted the ones that are actually owned by the company, instead of privately, then something might happen, but i highly doubt it. [ie, bp 2go is generally private, whereas the bp connects are company owned]

Sure, totally, give them all your money.

LOL if you want to hurt them stop using the stuff, for a day or whatever. Not buying it on a certain day does nothing... what you use on the day is what counts.

Use less yes! That's the only way you will actually need to buy less and "hurt" them.

Petrol is still cheap in NZ. Stop wasting energy on mundane things like this and start focusing on the real issues facing NZ.

Do you have a source of comparison figures relative to average income?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting you. Just be good to see some figures.

As prices tend to fluctuate across brands more or less together, the only way I can see consumers influencing fuel prices may be to avoid buying petrol from whichever brand is the first to put prices up. Also, where practical, favour the brand which is first to announce any price reduction.

This doesn't sound like such a bad idea. Maybe they should make the price so astronomical that it keeps 90 percent of the population off the road and then it'll be there for us bikers* to enjoy.

    * Only includes the bikers who're rich enough to buy fuel at the astronomical price
