I used to know a guy that was into body building, he got so big that he could not walk properly and his arms did not hang down at his sides
He worked friggen hard to develop a body that only he could love, amazingly he admitted that he had no stamina, quick burst and it was all over till he had rested

Well, I agree that it is difficult to entirely isolate the biceps. But it is actually possible with curls. In the common dumbbell curl you indeed need to keep your wrist straight - but it is possible to use a machine for curls and just use the underside of your wrist to excert the force.
