Because it's "futcher" earners need that time time to come up to scratch and grasp the basics

Plenty of us have tried and survived the 'student' experience. As someone else said - HTFU.

(Besides, all students are bludgers, aren't they?)

You should sue your parents for not getting you an ASG scholarship fund set up when you were a little softy. So now that you are a big softy - HTFU (its all the rage on this thread )

Anyone with little tykes that want a back up plan incase the kids decide to partake in tertiary study should have a look into ASG, will save your kids coming onto KB moaning about WINZ not putting out.

    whats you studying ......

some up to date level of fuck all to become another nothing ,
so when you fin the training you ll have a year off cause youve done so much hard work .

then find you need to go and spend another year retraining cause its out of date what you studyed in the first place .
after all this you ll go to aussie ,cause the works easier better paying etc etc
    better time off .

And after all this youll be complaining about the amount you own the NZ govt for the training ,AND YOU CHOSE TO DO IT

why didnt you just wake up and get a job

But seriously its the comments he made about us "investing in the future earners of NZ" - which is (of course) bullshit and its that which I find annoying.

Going to Uni has no indication of future earnings - there are a lot of uni students with piss useless degrees. There are a lot of people who have no deg who earn a ton (and therefore pay huge tax).

A lot of them (possibly not the poster - but he did infer) want to be invested in - then piss off to Aust - which would make them a poor investment!
Well i am studying to become an orchard manager, probably kiwifruit. So is there any money in that?
BTW i do not want to piss of to aus, it has to many Australians but the fact is with the amount of BS in this country i can understand it.

And even if i did i would still pay it back, i am not one to run away from a loan.

Really? It's bought me some stylish shit over the years and allowed me a nice "wee" investment portfolio.

So, this two week delay is a big surprise that just popped up and nobody anywhere has ever been informed of it before and therefore noone has ever made any allowances for it ever??

Unless it was a complete surprise and there was no way in hell of anyone ever finding out about it before it was a problem then you might get a bit of sympathy. If on the other hand you could have found out about it and prepared, like you have to do with so much in life, HTFU.

Does anyone have some smelling salts for Mr Hitcher? This thread will have him in seizures.
