I have this on vinyl but was trawling at Penny Lane and saw it on CD, and thought I'd pick it up. Havent listened to it for probably 15 years. Worth it just for the opening track "Spellbound"
I am not that big a fan of her lyrically or her delivery style (small doses, yo) but what has blown me away, and what I had forgotten is how good the music is. Mr Budgie on drums, Steve Severin on bass and the signature git-box player of the '80's, John McGeoch. So so good. Listen to that jangly guitar line, then think about the Smiths and tell me Johnny Marr wasn't a fan. and that bass line is awesome.
