Up the Irons, now resting in a Coffin with Spikes

Given the Kiwibiker demographic - I would dare say that most of you lot have nodded along to an Iron Maiden song or two in your lifetime.

    Paul Di'Anno,

the original Vocalist for Iron Maiden - responsible for the original two albums (Iron Maiden and Killers) and for arguably starting the path that eventually The Air-raid siren himself (Bruce Dickinson) would ultimately complete - has played his last gig, turned off his PA and unplugged from this realm of existence.

66 years old, in a wheelchair, but still able to command a stage and let rip with his vocals - his health caught up with him.

Rest in Peace - Iron Maidens gonna get you, no matter how far.

    Iron Maiden keeping it classy.

While Iron Maiden were my favourite as a yoof (around 10-14yrs old) that was in the mid 80's so I only got to know of Paul later on, by then it was all about Bruce! But without Paul (and his drug habits!) we wouldn't have the Iron Maiden I love still to this day. RIP Paul.
