...DR Girl brought back some memories...about a week after I arrived in the UK many years ago I was on a bus in Kent, on the South Coast. I had just visited some people from here who lived that way and was on my way back to Folkestone. I felt like a beer, got off the bus near a pub right on the sea, went in and this band was just setting up. A couple of weeks earlier I had a bit of a party before I jumped on the silver bird. We were bangin' our heads to a Budgie tape I had and then gave it to my bro, as he loved them too.
I ended up having a real good night in a fairly quiet pub with these fellas and I didn't pay for one beer all night, all on the band. Still love 'em

How cool ellipsis. Great band. Wish it was Budgie I came across in my first solo pub visit after departing National coachlines in Edinburgh not a cheap strippers pub!!! No wonder the pub was full of older men! They just looked at this obvious green New Zealander as she sat there with her beer as she wondered why in the middle of winter this lady was sitting at the bar in her skimpy night wear lol. Once she put her 20p in the jutebox I knew !!!!
