What am I listening to at the moment? Canned music coming over a mediocre sound system in a fast-food joint (which has free WiFi, upon which I mooch sometimes). Christmas music, for the last month. And right now, some young punk singing his cover version of an early Elvis song. Makes me cringe, pisses me off. I grew up in the Fifties and early Sixties with REAL rock and roll, dammit, none of your modern gar-baage! Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Coasters, the Big Bopper, and above them all, forever, Elvis, the king. Nobody should be allowed to cover any Elvis song, even his Christmas songs. Damned punks!!
