Not too bad. Of course it is a cover of Heart at the Kennedy Centre honouring Led Zep. That's really impressive
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Mark Knopfler auctioned off his guitars and amps recently. Obviously the ones with big connections, as in concerts or albums, could be expected to get big money but...
The collection of guitars and amps made about eighteen and a half million of our Pacific pesos.

I just watched this, not specifically for the musical content but because I'd seen complaints. Luke Combs is a country singer and some people thought it was excessively 'woke' having a black woman join him on stage to perform his song at the Grammys Never mind that it was Tracy Chapman who wrote the song and who had hit with it in the late eighties. Feckin' eejits!

See, that's the problem with the internet and social media. Without it we'd never hear of the very small minority of idiots who would think that, and they most likely would've have known of the performance.

So I was gobbing out at this story and related it to the wife and she jumps in and says, you mean Tracy Chapman?. OK I appreciate that you might not know who she is if you are young, but it's still a stoopid thing to say.

This video contains content from Paramount Global, who has blocked it on copyright grounds. However found the same thing from other sources and, yeah, it was a great performance. Played back to back with the original - not changed much.

This kid, she's seventeen, is getting some attention. Her repertoire is the work of 1920s and 30s bluesmen. Her guitar work is exceptional and authentic. Unusual for a kid from Ireland to be so steeped in the music of another place and time.
