A bit of a guilty pleasure ( no, not Joy Division) (but maybe later) A bit of unashamed eighties guitar in the form of Joe Satriani

Just watched Chappie, turns out two main charaters are singers, Yolanda and Ninja, not my norm but not bad, subwoofer is a must.

    Die Antwoord are very good.

I am in love with Annie Clark aka St Vincent presently.

Her new album last year was called "Masseduction" and is quite poppy. Her earlier stuff is amazingly good - she is a genius guitar player, in the proggy Robert Fripp/King Crimson/Eno mould (not the pointless fret-wank Satriani or Malmsteen style)

I was a huge fan of The Fall. Went to see them at Christchurch Town Hall back in the day. Not a well attended show and so we were right up the front. A fuckwit boot boy decided Christchurch needed stage diving because he clearly had seen it on the telly, so he jumped up on stage and launched himself into the air. Crowd saw this and collectively took a step back and the guy goes THUD on the floor and lays like a stunned mullet. Hilarious.

I played some of their stuff over the weekend. Its not all great, but especially in that era it had greatness in a lot of it.

I loved that song "Cruisers Creek" and "Carry Bag Man" - edit: "Hip Priest" "My New House" - actually there are lots.
