    BIKE vs GIRLFRIEND

How many other guys out there actually want to spend more time riding their bike, rather than the missus? Ive "only" got a CBR250R yet it makes me smile from ear to ear just thinking about riding it up dyres pass rd (chch guys knw wot i mean) hangin off it, short shiftin between corners, scrapin pegs, filtering between all the cage drivers in 5 o'clock traffic or just haulin it down a huge strait road tucked in behind the screen tryin to get it off the clock. I love my girlfriend but she struggles to understand when i want to go for a ride by myself! She doesnt get the idea that a pillion makes the bike much less agile, and then gets shitty coz "u wuld rather spend time with the bike over me" In reality she gets far more attention but i think the idea of me lusting over "a machine" gets her really wild. lol anyone else get this problem? or should i be looking for a biker chick? A rare but sort after breed of woman....

She's obviously not a very good root.

You need to treat your woman like you treat your bike and credit card. ROUGH.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

The issue is that your girlfriend doesn't feel as special and 'wanted' as the bike. This happens but you shouldn't not ride because of that...you'll just turn all angry and resentful and then she won't want you anyway.

    Bin there....

Can you get her on one? Seems to keep the sqwabbles to a minimum in our household as both me and hubby like to ride by ourselves and together and with others....

my last relationship went south because i missed our anniversary 'cause i was too busy doing a top end rebuild and a carb clean out...

She tried to get hold of me, i was busy beating the living shit out of a top end with a mallet to get it unstuck, missed 4 phone calls cause a new piston was more important. Got a text, didn't read it, too busy checking valve guides. Wen't into a coma after setting up the carb, it was 3 in the morning and i was sleepy damnit!

    turns out the text read:

"If your peice of shit motorcycle is more important than me then we can call it all off right now and you can fucking marry it!"

    text the next morning read:

"Well fine then! I don't want anything to do with you...

and my bike isn't a piece of shit!"

Yeah, we don't talk so much no more...

Who would have thought a 6 month anniversary is important? yeesh...

Buy her some pretty bike gears and get her on the back, she might start to like it and appreciate fine machinery too.

When phoenixgtr started riding I felt neglected.
When phoenixgtr got the ZX6R I felt neglected.
When I started riding Phoenixgtr saw it as me accepting biking so I became more neglected.
But now I think we have an understanding......he knows that its time to put the bike in the shed for a weekend and spend time with me when he sees me looking for the hammer......

But seriously, I think that its just one of those things. He loves riding so much that I could never ask him to give it up for me, but I know if it came down to the crunch he would.

LOL well i certainly love riding bikes but if my girlfriend gave me a choice of staying a home and being with her or going for a ride with mates i know what id be jumping for ...staying home pays to not disagree with her otherwise their will be trouble
tried to get her on the pillion seat the other day ,chickened out because she said i was accident prone lol

If you are really serious about bikes and you have a passion that you think will last the rest of your life then any partner you get will have to accept that.

If you ever get the "It's me or the bike" speeches then it is time to move on 'cos she has not accepted a part of who you are.

    lol

Cheers for the advice every 1, except skidmark. Sounds like he has sum sexual issues, I assume hes Bi-sexual, has a broken zxr (typical) and is taking his frustration out on the newbie so ill let it go. Oh and STEAM, i realise a bigger bike will help takin a pillion but im talking bout goin for a properly fast ride (relative to a cbr250) scraping the pegs and flicking it between corners, hard braking etc and even on a bigger bike the extra 60kg or so sitting high behind u duznt help. If im just goin for a cruise i dont mind taking the girlfriend at all, and she likes it. The issue is she duznt understand y i want to go out bymeself sometimes... mmmm the freedom
