Not necessarily. An idiot is an idiot period. Alot of riders are quick to jump on other riders they consider to be idiots on here.

Actually Dipshit (and I call you that cos that's the user name you chose) I think Onearmedbandit summed it up beautifully as to why you got a hard time and I agree with him completely...here's a reminder incase you missed it....

You might think it's great for shock value. You might think that people are living in denial. Well I've got an answer for you, one you might not like. We know we are mortal, we know that people die on bikes. We know it first hand. We don't need some dipshit getting up on his soapbox about it and coming across like a jerk to tell us that we can improve our chances of survival. We know that. We don't all copy what we see on youtube.

Yes, but his obstinate refusal to wear a seat belt (misguided though it seems to you & me) arguably exposed him to less risk than I expose myself to when I wear ATTGATT through the streets of Wellington on my docile little commuter bike. So I'm an idiot?

My brother-in-law managed to kill himself and a friend by driving his Honda NSX way too fast on SH2 (you know, the "danger road" south of Auckland) a few years ago. He was a skillful driver, but not skillful enough to defy the laws of physics. Am I ashamed to be related to him? No. Was he a total loser? No, though he did lose the gamble he took that day. He was a generous guy and a good friend to many people.

Calling strangers losers on an Internet forum is easy. It makes life seem a bit less complicated than it really is.

Congrats - your handle is well and truly earned.

Nothing to do with him being a driver or a rider - or a pilot for that matter. He was a dinky dye, class A, self registering, 100% pure MORON. The motorcycling equivalent would be someone painting on a helmet to avoid the authorities pinging him for not wearing one, then smoking a bit of P, a bit of dope and heading out onto the road.

I just hope no-one else was hurt in the making of this story.
