I realise what you are trying to achieve, and I think you will find that all motorcyclists on this site want to live and ride for as long as possible. So there is nothing wrong with your message, in fact it is to be commended. Yet still people attack what you post. Wonder why? Might have something to do with the tactless delivery. My brother-in-law managed to kill himself and a friend by driving his Honda NSX way too fast on SH2 (you know, the "danger road" south of Auckland) a few years ago. He was a skillful driver, but not skillful enough to defy the laws of physics. Am I ashamed to be related to him? No. Was he a total loser? No, though he did lose the gamble he took that day. He was a generous guy and a good friend to many people.

Calling strangers losers on an Internet forum is easy. It makes life seem a bit less complicated than it really is.

Nothing to do with him being a driver or a rider - or a pilot for that matter. He was a dinky dye, class A, self registering, 100% pure MORON. The motorcycling equivalent would be someone painting on a helmet to avoid the authorities pinging him for not wearing one, then smoking a bit of P, a bit of dope and heading out onto the road.

I just hope no-one else was hurt in the making of this story.
