I have a detailed spreadsheet listing every aspect of cost for my bike.
Unfortunately it's at work. I can post it on Monday.
To summarise it though, it costs me about $0.28 per km to run my bike, including petrol, insurance, tyres, servicing (I do my own) etc.
I get through a front and rear at the same time and usually get about 14,000 kms out of them. I tend to run Avon Storms.
I've done 50,000 kms approx on this bike in 3.5 years, and its on its fourth set of tyres, 2nd chain and sprockets (about 35,000 kms), 2nd set of brake pads (each 25,000 kms). Change the oil and filter every 5,000 kms. It gets about 16 km to the litre.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
