Hi Meekey Mouse
Good on you - really great to see that you are interested in putting a story through, look forward to receiving it - if you have pictures please note they need to be no smaller than 300dpi or send them through as large as you can so I can downsize to the correct size and dpi.
If anyone is unsure if they can do an article or not, just give it a go, you might surprise yourself as did the people who wrote the articles in the first issue. Normally work on 500 to 1000 words if possible, otherwise if longer we can make it a serial.

Congratulations on having the guts to give it a go, I bought my copy today, stood in front of the stand, couldn't find it on first pass over, so thumbed through each stack, and when I found the copies, I lifted them from behind whatever bike magazine they were and parked them right up front! Only suggestion is: could you put more captions beside the pictures? I would have appreciated captions with all the pics from page 20 onwards Well done!
Do you have an email I could send it too? I will try do that with the pics I will send the pics in separate so you can play round with them any way.
Also, if you want I could cut down this story here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...t=Bus%2C+plane
Could even put with it a short list of what to look for in second hand bikes that are warning signs NOT to buy the bike. Might save some one from the hassles I went through

Hi Guys
Would like to include a Cafe Scene in the next issue of FMRiders Magazine as a regular feature, so would be interested in hearing from you all about any great Cafe's you would like to see mentioned as a reference for other riders.

Definitely The Wild Oats in Carterton!!! They have great food, an outside spot where you can sit and eat and still keep an eye on your bike in their carpark, a visor cleaning station, free water with real glasses and the owner often gives us free food and pops lollypops on our bike seats! Bloody great place!!
hey a possible story for the future

bride is being escorted by about 39 bikes so far lol.
When does the next issue hit the stands??
A coffee van in the Whakatane area called 'Cafe Chic' run by a French guy - Florent or 'Flo' to his friends!! He's an absolute crack-up and he's French (says it all really!) He's an absolute top bloke and makes awesome coffee! If we see him out and about we follow him just for a laugh and a real nice brew...

Hi Guys
The next issue will be due to hit the stands by the 2nd week of May. So if you are interested in putting in any stories or advertising, I need them all by the 2nd week of April to give me enough time to pull the issue together, proof everything, get printed and off to the distributor.
Thanks for the recommendations on the Cafe's - keep them coming.
Cheers

Thumpers Cafe in Whakatane. Go see Glen and the team. They're a bike retail and work shop and cafe all rolled into one. Good food, good people, open weekends, we loved it.
