Thread: Spanner Evening

  1. #1

    Lightbulb Spanner Evening

With a garage and some capable hands we're able to have a spanner night once a month in East Auckland.

Can we get some feedback to gauge interest; Lets see what you'd like to learn/achieve.

Feel free to add suggestions and comments

Would be great to get a handle on the basics and more of looking after my bike.......especially from the horses mouth.
Would also be good if the time was not too late in the evening so that those of us that live on the 'other side' can come strait after work instead of doing a huge round trip.
I would like to do, chain, oil, spark plugs, look after break and throttle cables etc. You never know I could be doing my own service.......

Make it either free or at cost-price.
Because the attendees will learn a lot and get an excellent impression of Bikestore, and will be your customers again and again.
    They'll be "captured" in marketing-speak.

When I was looking for my first 250cc bike, I would have been strongy attracted to buying from a shop that had a night like that to learn to keep it safe mechanically and do small things myself.
Some shops sell you a bike and then don't seem to want to know about you after that. Those spanner nights will help form a relationship with your mechanically inexperienced customers.

    Good luck!

Offer everything. Perhaps a different "topic area" each night?
    One, possibly two per month?
