Arrow New Years Party in Palmy

OK .. I am now into the planning stages and need some indication of those who wish to attend. There is plenty of space for tents and secure parking for bikes/cars.
Once I have a better idea of how many bodies I am catering for, I can then work out what else is going to be needed, BBQs etc.
It sounds like I have my work cut out for me if I want to make it as good as Paul & Vicki's one last weekend !! I have cleared it with the neighbours who are all for it too, so we can really have a good one !!
It will be kid friendly and there's plenty of things for them to do too, so bring as many as you want !!
Lets get it on !!! Oh and I thought we could also build in a couple of rides around the area too ... just to keep the bikes from seizing up ....
A man can move much faster without a millstone around his neck, so if he gets the chance to lose her he'd better drop her and run like heck !! .. (10cc "Modern Man Blues" - Deceptive Bends)

Could be a plan for us but I can't be totally sure until my #1 daughter and her brood sort out their life and travel plans... (sigh)

Ideally we would cruise up on the Guzzi (depends on the Vicksters back at the time) and stay the night someplace handy. Is there a cheap motel near by?

It's always really hard for us to be making plans around this time of the year. Vicki works at suppling the retail trade and I usually have some logistics duties over the break as well... In fact I cannot remember an xmas break without a panic dash to the office at some stage! I work for NEC and japan does not really get out 2 week xmas shut down, so don't be offended if we bail at the last minute...

You guys would be welcome to have my bed if you want ..... it is at the other end of the house from the party and has a firm mattress for bad backs !! & I certainly don't plan on using it ...

I'll probably be quite keen, to come just for the night. I'll let you know for certain a bit closer to the time. Sorry I can't be more definte than that for now.

    I hope to come...

I don't see any reason why I won't come, but like everyone else I can't sayfor a little while yet. What I suggest, is set up for about 100 people, and if only 20 come, have leftovers for 3 weeks

Hmmm. Turn up at the ex-wife's house at 5 in the morning, blind drunk.

    Now there's a recipe for a disaster...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Cheers team !!
All I'm after at this stage is intent !! Then I can work out how much space we'll need for tents, cars/bikes & how much of the fence I'll pull down for access !! The neighbours are all keen as and we can use their bathrooms as well as mine and I have 2 tents going up that sleep 6 each in a squeeze... although having said that my kids have pointed out that they will probably want to sleep in one of them !!
There are pools within walking distance and a park not too much further down the road either .... and of course the roads are great .... I thought that I would set up a ride from here to Hunterville via Vinegar hill and maybe stop off for a beer or coffee there before heading back down SH1 to Marton and then over to Fielding and back to here ... A great twisty road with not too much traffic ... or cops .... eh Spud !!

Thats a personal favourite of mine and its also one that you can feel "reasonably" comfortable about a there being a genuine lack of fuzz.

The thing I like most about it is, that because of the way road twists and turns you actually don't have to be over the speed limit to enjoy it anyhow !!
