Talking YAY! The date is finally set.. & I passed!!!!

I'm going for my full on the 20th of March unless a cancellation comes up... Then it'll be sooner

They seem to only be doing motorcycle licenses once a week... I've looked through most cities around here and most of them were one day a week. So they get booked pretty quickly, other wise I'd be going for it on the 13th (the day I could) I was supposed to be doing it on the 26th in Taupo, but instead I looked around and Napier had the earliest date I can get.... So looks like I get to have a bit of a ride before and after I really can't wait!!

Any one know the licensing officer in Napier? Is he/she very strict?

Goodluck with the test, perhaps ask hXc, MSTRS and Yungatart about the tester in Napier, it's their neck of the woods.

You'll be sweet - and enjoy the ride there and back!

Thats great news for you. Now after seeing that awesome photo of you on the race track, bear in mind that some licensing officers will fail you for nothing other than looking too confident. I'm not for a moment suggesting your going to go for knee down on your test, all I'm suggesting is you look at least a little nervous whilst performing the tasks perfectly. Make a big deal of swiveling your head around so they can see you are being observant yadda, yadda, yadda.

Hehe, certainly don't have to worry about that! Although I'm not as nervous as I was with my car licenses, I'm still a little worried and anxious... Mostly cause I just want to pass and get a big bike SOOOO much!

Thanks for all the support guys I'll keep ya up to date with what happens and hopefully I'll be able to get a sooner date. Waiting for some one to cancel theirs lol.

We have had dealings with the testing officer here. He is okay...no headsets though, he will just give you instructions and then off you go. His name is Bob, and he is a quiet, dry sort of old bugger. He seems fair and reasonable tho.
If Zac and Patrick can pass, you'll have no trouble...you are much better to look at than either of them!
Good luck, but i am sure you won't be needing it...

The testing officer here is alright, when i did my test he was usually about 3-4 cars behind me. he's not motorcycle specific and tests car licenses aswell, he told me where to go to in one hit and how he wanted me to get there, so that might be your only problem, although it's up to him to direct you accordingly and you shouldn't have to know the city, we stopped only once during the test and had finished within 25 mins (yes this was my full license test). Good luck though you'll be fine give us a yell if you need somewhere to stay while your down

Woo! After Keeping an eye on the LTNZ website, the 18th of March has come up.. In Taupo... 3 weeks from today It seems that the 18th has come up in other cities now as well, so I have no idea what's going on there but I'll still keep an eye on the website as I might be able to get an even earlier date... maybe

Thanks, lol sounds like the old Taupo testing officer. If there is an earlier date that comes up in Napier it'll just be a day trip.. Thanks for the offer though

Woohoo good onya, the most important thing is to try and relax. IMO anyway! If you are tense you are more likely to make mistakes. Remember to breathe too!

hey Jas just did mine in Palmy North yesterday .. was a bit nervous as well just remember when you fully stop either at intersections lights etc put both feet on the ground & yes lots of head checks (helps when you do not know the area & watching the indicators on the testing officers car)
