    Sounds frustrating...but it really is just one door closing and another opening.
    How about a teaching degree and then teaching future Baristas....

    the thing is i dont even know where to start, i just walked out of tech 3 years ago and went ohh ill do that off to work and then kinda fell in and out of job since then, now its, stop look around whats next? it is really scary

    What did you at Uni do then?

    Chances are whatever it was a lot of it can be put towards a dip or cert of a different flavour...

    Get yourself off to a Careers Advisor, take your Cv and relevant stuff and go from there...you will be surprised with the options that are open to you

    Time to re-train into a career Fireball. University is an option but how any 'vasity student can survive for 3-5 years while studying I dont know.

    You need to get Industry training (and there is a big difference compared to Uni). I'm in the I.T education industry and after 3mths training most of our students will start on 35k-42k. After doing our diploma course (9 mths) our students are getting jobs starting on 45k+.

    There's a huge shortage of I.T professionals in NZ and there is no reason why more women shouldn't think of I.T as a career option. Think about it.

    that sounds more like me! i dont really like uni so what do i need to do?

    just that i did a nat cert in outdoor rec leadership about 10-11 years ago and became an instructor for a while its a reasonably small industry people get to know each other. did it with a small private crowd based in west aucks
    I cannot put my finger on it now, the child has grown the dream has gone

    there'll be no more aaarrrrrggghhhhh but you may feel a little sick
